CACIB @ Craiova

Over the year I had to cancel the plans of taking Mura to some shows either due to the blowing coat or entering into heats or purely because in the last minute something happend and could't attend the planned shows. Till this autumn when I decided to take her to Craiova at one of the two CACIB shows held this weekend and managed to get there. We met Adriana in Craiova who kindly showed her into the ring wining the CAC, CACIB and BOB titles.
Happy! Happy! Happy!

Mura's shows

Last year I missed two shows in Craiova as the car broke the morning of the show. So Mura's first show had to be postponed till this year.
In May I decided to go with her to Targoviste. Although she was completely out of coat I was confident the judge would see her beyound her nakedness. Well, he has not. Mura got just the Excellent rating.
Then we enrolled for two shows held in July in Ploiesti. Her coat was excellent at that time but one week before the shows Mura went into heat. God, I forgot how hard is to synchronize everything when you have a girl to show!
Pitesti. Two more shows in September. Although Mura begun blowing her coat we said to ourselves we must go. The first day Mura got Excellent 1, Best Junior, Best Female, Best of Breed and Group fourth. The next day again just Excellent rating although the judge had nothing to complain about her.
Sometimes I start thinking what is in the mind of the judge when he or she does that. But then I immediately start thinking on other stuff more important than this. It would be both unproductive and a complete loss of time get caught in their game.

Big girl

Strange happening today. I just finished feeding the furry kids and I was walking around the yard. I see Indy coming towards me. He jumps around. He wants to play. I am stunned. We just finished playing one minute before. Did he finish eating? Already? Even so, how did he escape from the pen? Did I forget to lock the gate?
I go back and see the gate locked. Then, it struck me: It was not Indy. It was Mura, the one that actually should have been in the yard... Oh My God! I NEVER mingled two of my mals before!
Mura is a big girl now...

My Oh My!

Mura

A month after N.E's death I begun thinking of bringing a new girl in here. I had in mind a list of friends owned by beautiful females already. So I said to myself I should start contacting them and find out their breeding plans for the future. Time was no issue. In order to get the desired pup you have to wait as long as it takes. Everyone should know this!
The luck was on my side. The first friend I contacted was Adriana. Fortunately that same day she just returned from a clinic in Germany where Milou has been inseminated with frozen semen. From Stetson! Say no more. That moment I knew I definitely want one of their pups. Milou is a beautiful female while Stetson is one of my favorite mals ever. Consequently I imagined the pedigree of Indy x a girl from this litter. So, that moment I simply became uninterested of finding out what other breeding plans have the other friends of mine
Fingers crossed and hope for the best. Four weeks later, the first great news: Milou is pregnant. Then, after five more weeks, the second great news: the pups were born. Five boys and three girls! Three girls! One will be mine! Yes! I was extremely happy. I knew I will have to "settle" with the third choice girl, the one that remains unpicked. Adriana had obviously first choice while the second went to someone from Russia...
But let me tell you something: I "settled" exactly with, not only the girl, but the pup, I liked THE MOST from the ENTIRE litter! The chance really smiled at me.
So the first weekend after Adriana got the pedigrees and had the pups microchipped I went to take our girl home.
This happened last weekend. Now I present you Mura. AKA Arctic Village My Oh My. AKA Adriana's golden girl from the Stetson x Milou litter.

N.E.

Today I had to have N.E. operated. Three tumors pulled out of her breasts area. In about one month there are two more in need to be removed... Keep the fingers crossed.

Euro Dog Show 2012 - Bucharest

Yesterday we had the pleasure hosting over night our friends Radek and Iva accompanied by Frantisek, one of their friends. They came in Romania for the Eurodog show held in Bucharest this year. We spent a few hours talking, eating and drinking (no alcohol).
From their dogs Radek brought for show Brady and Zoe. Brady, the father of our Indy. Zoe the niece of Indy. Her mother is Indy's litter sister and her father is Senay's Haiko.
This morning at 5 AM they left towards the show place. I got back in touch with them in Bucharest just before the show started. Zoe finished second in the junior class. Brady was the only one in the veteran class.
I just want to share with you one of the best moments I seen in the 12 years since I'm going around shows.
When Brady entered in the ring in the veteran class, many people around started applauding. Such a great respect for one of the best mals the European shows have seen it in the past 10 years. It literally gave me goosebumps...
